Strength Workout Or Resistance Exercise
Strength workout or resistance workout is one of the important exercises which in addition to health benefits also promotes anti-aging.   This type of exercise has also proven to be more effective for fat loss than cardiovascular exercise. Let’s see why. Regular resistance training can tone muscles and increase muscle and bone mass. It is important for anti-aging because as we age, we lose muscles and bone mass starting approximately from age 35. This type of exercise can prevent osteoporosis because it helps to increase bone minerals. Because muscles are important for body metabolism (they use more energy than body fat), resistance exercise helps to burn fat. Strength training also helps to improve "good" cholesterol HDL. Strength exercise is any exercise which involves muscle contraction. The principal of strength training is body moving against the force applying resistance.   Resistance Can Come From:   - Body weight
- Weight lifting
- Sport equipment such as resistance bands
- Exercise machine such as machines using elastic resistance Bowflex Machine, Soloflex
Either you work out with a resistance band, free weights or a resistance machine. 3 sets with 8 to 12 repetitions for each exercise are enough to achieve all benefits. Don't forget to include resistance exercises in your routine several times per week. For better results combine resistance exercises with cardiovascular and stretching exercises.
