Face Peel: Types and Purposes

There are different purposes of face peels:

  • Skin rejuvenation
  • Cell renewing
  • Pigmentation reduction
  • Removing acne and its scarring effects

As a result of peelings, beside the inflammatory reaction developing in the epidermis and derma protective, the regenerative mechanisms of cells become more active.

At the expense of strengthening the synthesis of collagen, the skin becomes more toned and elastic. After that, the natural process of healing begins upon termination of which the skin is renewed.

Always accompany any peel with high concentration of acid:

Erythema (reddening) could last from 20 minutes to several weeks depending on the acid and its concentration.

Flaking could last from 3 to 7 days.
